Tam McManus slams Ibrox mentality in Rangers v Kilmarnock prediction

Tam McManus believes Kilmarnock will benefit from their game against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday, May 5.

The former Hibs attacker even criticised the mentality at Ibrox, claiming that they might not be able to withstand the pressure. He predicts Celtic will have a six-point lead at the end of the weekend and one hand on the crown.

McManus told PLZ Soccer on 3 May at 15:13: “There is enormous pressure on Rangers and can they handle that? I’m not so sure.

“I think if Celtic can go and beat Hearts tomorrow, I think Rangers could drop points on Sunday I think that’s not only six points, it could be the goal difference goes up as well. I think it’s at five goals at the minute.

“There’s massive pressure on but Celtic need to do their part. Need to win the game tomorrow against Hearts. I think they will but I think it’ll be tight and then over it to Rangers to see if they can do it again but Kilmarnock have been excellent this season.

“They’ve shown against Old Firm they’ve beaten both of them this season and I think they’re capable of going and causing Rangers problems.”

Rangers must beat Kilmarnock and silence Tam McManus

Despite the strain on Gers and McManus’ reservations about their capacity to handle it, home advantage might have a significant impact on the game’s outcome.

The Ibrox crowd is known for its fervent backing, which might give Philippe Clement’s side the extra lift they need to defeat Kilmarnock.

Moreover, Rangers have shown resilience and determination in their pursuit of the title, with recent victories demonstrating their ability to perform under pressure after a few setbacks.

The team will be motivated to silence critics like McManus and prove their mettle in front of their home crowd.

They will need to assert themselves from the first minute, taking control of the game and dictating the pace.

Hopefully, the recent injuries are not a concern, and the players can resume their professional duties on Sunday.

In other Rangers news, a European club may be willing to spend more millions for a first-team Gers player following their recent declaration.

The big question is “Have Ranger run out of steam”!?
