Panthers Shocked by Trade Talks Surrounding Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers are reportedly receiving trade inquiries for rookie quarterback Bryce Young. Selected as the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Young was seen as the franchise’s potential long-term solution at quarterback. Yet, as the season has unfolded with the Panthers struggling, outside teams have apparently been reaching out to gauge Carolina’s interest in trading their young star.

Reports suggest the Panthers are not actively shopping Young, but they are aware of interest from other teams. Young’s transition into the NFL has been challenging, with the team experiencing a rough start and Young facing the typical rookie learning curve. While some believe Young still has the potential to develop into a top-tier quarterback, others have raised concerns about his fit with Carolina’s current roster and coaching situation.

Amid these discussions, the Panthers’ management has refrained from making any definitive statements about Young’s future with the team. Coach Frank Reich and the Panthers’ front office have repeatedly expressed confidence in Young, citing his work ethic and leadership qualities. They believe that once the team addresses a few key areas, Young will be better positioned for success.

For now, it seems Carolina is focused on helping Young grow rather than exploring a trade. The attention he has garnered, however, shows the high value teams across the league still see in him, despite his early-season challenges. Whether the Panthers will consider these trade calls more seriously down the line remains to be seen.
