ESPN host Mike Greenberg did not hold back when discussing the Chicago Bears’ disappointing season, delivering a sharp critique that highlighted the team’s struggles from start to finish. During a segment on Get Up, Greenberg voiced his frustration, calling out the Bears’ inability to live up to expectations.
“The Bears have been nothing short of a disaster,” Greenberg said. He emphasized that while Chicago fans entered the season with optimism, the team’s poor coaching decisions, inconsistent offense, and defensive lapses have left the franchise in disarray.
Much of the focus has been on quarterback Justin Fields, whose development has been a topic of debate throughout the year. Despite flashes of potential, Fields has struggled to lead the team to wins, which Greenberg believes stems from deeper issues within the Bears’ organization.
Greenberg also criticized head coach Matt Eberflus for failing to implement a clear direction for the team. “It’s one thing to lose games, but it’s another to look completely lost as a team,” Greenberg said.
The ESPN personality pointed to the Bears’ front office, particularly general manager Ryan Poles, for not addressing key weaknesses in the roster. Greenberg argued that Chicago’s inability to build around their young quarterback has only compounded their problems.
With another season seemingly wasted, Greenberg’s remarks resonate with frustrated Bears fans who have grown tired of years of mediocrity. As the offseason approaches, all eyes will be on whether the franchise can make necessary changes to avoid another year of disappointment.
