Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy recently shared promising news regarding cornerback DaRon Bland’s recovery from a foot injury. Bland, who suffered a stress fracture in August, had been projected to miss six to eight weeks. However, he was recently spotted back on the practice field, signaling a faster-than-expected recovery. His return would be a huge boost for the Cowboys’ defense, which has struggled in his absence.
Last season, Bland led the NFL with nine interceptions and set a record with five pick-sixes, earning All-Pro honors. His comeback is eagerly awaited, especially after the Cowboys allowed 44 points in a recent loss to the New Orleans Saints. While Bland continues his recovery, rookie Caelen Carson has filled in admirably, but having Bland back would help solidify Dallas’ secondary.
