Something that supports the idea that Carolina will take a different approach at the most crucial position in football in the 2025 offseason.
A position group that has lacked stability since Cam Newton was dominating the league would undergo yet another shift. Under David Tepper’s control, countless resources have been spent with no advancement at all. It will be crucial how general manager Dan Morgan handles this. There are numerous flaws in this organization. Except for the best, no quarterback can conceal a team’s shortcomings. The dilemma his predecessors were unable to resolve was building the roster first. He can’t commit the same errors.

When it comes to quarterbacks, temptation is a potent factor throughout the pre-draft process. In his most recent 2025 mock, Jaime Eisner of The Draft Network talked about this sentiment. He recommended Carolina select Colorado signal-caller Shadeur Sanders rather than the Panthers concentrating on other trouble spots. Furthermore, he doesn’t think the prospect’s father will cause problems in the future.

However, if Morgan decides to take this route, he and his team had better have a strategy in place to strengthen other depth chart positions.
