Bayern Munich’s initial €67.5 million bid was turned down last week.
According to PA, Liverpool have now reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sell forward Luis Diaz for €75 million.
The Bundesliga side reportedly resumed talks following the rejection of their earlier €67.5m offer.
Liverpool are currently on their pre-season tour in Asia, and Diaz was with the squad upon arrival in Tokyo on Sunday, but has since been granted permission to depart.
The 28-year-old still has two years remaining on his current contract, and it is believed that Liverpool accepted the offer as it reflects what they consider his fair market value.
Diaz arrived at Anfield in January 2022 and featured in 50 matches across all competitions last season, scoring 17 goals and playing a key role in Liverpool’s Premier League title win.
During his time with the club, Diaz also helped secure the FA Cup and two Carabao Cup trophies.
He was omitted from Liverpool’s 4-2 friendly loss to AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday amid growing speculation about his future.
After the match, head coach Arne Slot commented: “There’s been a lot of talk around Lucho (Diaz) recently, and I can’t really say much about it.
“He’s been training very well with us, but we chose not to field him for now.
“I keep open communication with most of my players, but I can’t elaborate further on the matter.”
Liverpool have been active in the transfer market this summer, strengthening their forward line with the additions of Florian Wirtz—who made his first start as a false nine on Saturday—and Hugo Ekitike.
Other signings include Jeremie Frimpong, left-back Milos Kerkez, and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, all of whom featured in the second half of Saturday’s friendly.
