Dan Burn has spoken out about teammate Alexander Isak’s rumored attempts to secure a massive £125 million transfer to Liverpool, saying he holds no hard feelings despite being a lifelong Newcastle United fan.
Isak, who has been central to Newcastle’s recent success, is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield. But Burn, a dedicated Magpies supporter since childhood, remains unfazed by the speculation.
“I don’t have any issues with Alex,” Burn said. “He’s a quality player and a true professional. If he ends up going, that’s just part of the game.”
Burn went on to say he understands why a player like Isak would aim for bigger stages. “You can’t fault someone for wanting to play in the Champions League or challenge for trophies. If that’s where his ambition lies, I can only respect that. Until then, he’s our teammate.”
Burn’s composed reaction reflects a level-headed approach, reinforcing the bond within the Newcastle squad despite the growing uncertainty around Isak’s future.
