The Chicago Blackhawks have made an unexpected change to Connor Bedard’s role by reducing his involvement in faceoffs while retaining him as the team’s center. The move has sparked intrigue, considering Bedard’s status as the top overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and his early impact on the team.
Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson explained that the decision to limit Bedard’s faceoff duties is aimed at easing his transition into the league, ensuring he doesn’t become overburdened with responsibilities.
